• The official chess organization for Pennsylvania, affiliated with the United States Chess Federation (USCF).

• Promote chess across the state:

  • Publish a quarterly newsletter ("The PennsWoodPusher") with news, articles, games, and tournament results.

  • Organize various chess tournaments throughout the year, including:

• Support chess development:

  • Award college scholarships to top scholastic players.

  • Provide financial aid for top individuals and teams attending National Scholastic Championships.

  • Offer free subscriptions to "The PennsWoodPusher" to incarcerated individuals in Pennsylvania.

  • Run FIDE Futurity events to help players earn international chess ratings.

  • Train and certify chess tournament directors through volunteer opportunities.
