Semper Primus Chess Camp is a unique overnight experience for students entering K–12th grade. Designed to blend competitive play with community and personal growth, the camp features daily rated tournaments, elective master-level instruction, and a mix of recreational and evening activities including Blitz, Quads, and Swiss-style events. Campers can choose between 3- or 5-day sessions, with an optional tournament day on July 18th for those staying longer.
The camp offers flexible lodging options: students in grades 5–12 can stay in dorm suites independently, while younger campers (K–4th) can attend with a parent or guardian, or commute. With a strong focus on both chess education and social development, the camp is led by a dedicated staff including USCF-certified tournament directors, experienced masters, and on-site counselors to ensure a supportive and engaging environment.
